what happens if a creditor approaches you and you have an IVA in place, do you simply refer them to the person dealing with the IVA to deal with it?

Hi and welcome,

Let your IP know so they can speak to this creditor. You have nothing to worry about as you are totally covered.

All contact must be via the IP --- part of the IVA is that you do not contact each other directly ( in either direction).
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Hi and welcome, they are not supposed to and I would report this to my IVA provider. Any written correspondence, I would copy and then forward to my IP.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Yes - refer them to your IP.

Were they originally included in your IVA? Are they a material creditor?

If you didn't disclose them as a creditor in your proposals and they are a material creditor your IVA may be at risk of being breached. I hope this doesn't apply to you.
