I had an IVA which finished 1st February 2015, wouId I now be able to get a joint mortgage ?

I had an IVA which finished 1st February 2015, would I now be able to get a mortgage? I do not have any other credit. I would be looking to get a joint mortgage with my partner?

Hi and welcome,

Your IVA will remain on your credit record for six years from the date you took it out.

Speak to our resident mortgage experts, Ryan or Shaun whose details can be found under the expert link on the left hand side of the page. They have been instrumental in helping many posters get a mortgage.

Also make sure you have come off the register here:

and see if your credit rating needs tidying up.

Ryan and Shaun are experts within their field and have assisted many posters with advice and obtaining them their mortgage. All the best and well done on completing.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
