Completion certificates.
I spoke to Aperture today to see if our iva was in closure yet, our last payment was in March ,to be told today that it will be another 8 weeks before that happens and 6 months after that before it is complete, surely this is too long, cleardebt did me no favours in transferring us with one payment left to pay. If this information is correct it will take 10 months to close.
Unfortunately this is happening a lot and apart from constantly complaining to Aperture there isn't a lot you can do other than make a complaint via their website initially and then threaten to escalate.

Hopefully they are quoting "long stop" dates: 6 months is the standard time scale. Recently Aperture have been doing quite well in improving their issue times, let us hope this continues.
Also refer to your proposal, under the section entitled something like "Duration of Agreement" where a number of conditions will be set out --- get Aperture to adhere to these.

IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
I agree with Foggy, Aperture seem to take their closing timeliness more seriously than some so hopefully they are just giving you the worst case scenario. However it took me 10 months for completion with no underlying complications. Different company though. Fingers crossed.
Exactly the same thing happened to us. We were transferred from PDHL to knightsbridge just after our final payment and it's taken just over 6 months to get the certificate.
