Hi George,

Initially you are best to wait until at least the 6 year mark passes and the iva drops off your credit file. Some posters recently have said it's taken up to 3 years after an iva has dropped off, for them to get a mortgage, whereas some have managed to get one sooner.

I would contact Shaun or Ryan who are the mortgage experts on the forum, and see what they can do to help you.
Started IVA 27th Feb 2012 - Due to complete 27th Jan 2018 !!

Full & Final submitted and accepted 30th March 2015, paid 10th April 2015 - 3 yrs 1 month into IVA :)

Completion Certificate received- 30th April 2015!!

Hi and welcome,

You won't be able to get a mortgage until your IVA drops off the credit record before looking at it.

At the end of that time then speak to either Ryan and Shaun (details under the expert section on the left hand side of the page) but until then you will have to bide your time.
