Hi everybody, getting so close to the finnish I just wanted to ask for the future:
When a car dealer ( FORDS!) does a credit check on you what would they actually see?
Would they see everything that we would see?
Like all the accounts you have or have had and the balance of them?
Do different companys look for different things when doing a credit check?
We just might finnish early before the 6 years are up on the register, and was wondering if we did have a copy of certificate a dealer might consider us?
Or do think its a complete NO NO until you get off the register?
Anyone who does a credit check will see your IVA on there and also any defaults and balances of them.
Your IVA will remain on your file for the full six years although it won't be on the Insolvency Register for that long - that is usually within 3 months from when you receive your completion letter.
You could try Moneybarn (APR is quite high though) and they may be able to help you.

Not sure if it's a no no, but might be best to wait until the IVA drops off the credit files and the certificate is issued. That way you may get a really good APR - assuming you can wait of course and are not desperate.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
