I am just coming into the last 9 months of my IVA last payment due 09/3/17. What would you suggest I do re getting a mortgage in the future. I have a small baby and live in a very small property so need to look at getting out asap.

My boyfriend is not in an IVA and has a current mortgage a great credit history and a large deposit saved. We don't think we can get a good sized mortgage without my salary being taken into consideration. What would you advise?

You will not be considered for a mortgage for 6 years from the start of your IVA, after cleaving up your credit files. Have a look here for that bit:

When you are ready to apply, you will need the help of a whole of market broker experienced in adverse credit, such as Ryan or Shaun, who both post regularly on this forum. Some lenders are more amenable than others.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Totally agree with Foggy on the above.

In addition your IVA needs to have been finished and you need to have come off the register.

Your IP might take up to 6 months to close so might not come off the register for up to 3 months afterwards which might not be until December 2017.
