I live in the Channel Islands at the moment and entered an IVA in 2012. I am a British Citizen, on the UK Electoral Role and pay National Insurance contributions. The IVA was settled and completion certificate obtained in 2015. Obviously, my credit score will be rubbish until all is removed in 2018. Now trying to save for a mortgage for the next 3 years then pay the mortgage off in 7 years. Time is not on my side as I am 50 now. I can't apply to Vanquis or the likes as I am not currently a UK resident. Am aiming to return to the UK in 3 years. Any advice welcome. Thanks
