Hi there. We recently after a variation meeting were able to complete our IVA after 21 months. We have completion certificate from Stepchange. Please can you advise if there are lenders available that would consider us for a mortgage. We have seen a house for £110.000 that we would like to buy. Could you advise what percentage of deposit we would need to provide to be even considered by any lenders. Many thanks

Hi Carol have you come off the register yet? Has 6 years passed since the start of your IVA? Have you tidied up your credit rating?

Suggest you speak to Ryan or Shaun who are the mortgage experts on this forum and tick off the action points above.

You might find this quick video I made about cleaning up your credit record useful:

Noddle and Clearscore are also free credit agencies to consider using:

The iva needs to be clear from your records with any defaults removed to.

Ryan or Shaun will be able to give you more specific prifessional advice

Hi Carol,
I presume from the dates you are talking about that the IVA is still showing on your credit file.
As a guide you would need 30% deposit.
Is this possible?
