I have been contacted by Creditfix for an IVA as my debt settlement plan failed after 5 yrs. due to the company ceasing trading. Are Creditfix a reputable company to use. I have my own house with equity in it and Creditfix tell me that my home will not be affected (maybe, I'm thinking) because of my age, I am a retired pensioner on pension credit. Please clarify for me

You need to speak with a few companies. There is a good chance that at your age and with only a pension as income your house could be at risk, don't just take Creditfix's word for it without seeing hard figures and a contract wording that is set in stone.
Last Payment made 04/12/14. Completion Certificate 25/7/15. IVA company GT. No Issues

What "debt settlement plan" were you on and who with ?

What is the level of your debts ?

Did Creditfix contact you "out of the blue", or have they taken on the previous firms clients ?
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Hi and welcome,

Creditfix are a reputable company but I am surprised they have cold called you.

Please speak to one or two more companies - Andy Davie/Vincent Bond (details under the ask experts a question link on the left hand side of the page) can be contacted for some free advice.

Are you sure you weren't in either a Debt Management Plan or IVA that has been taken over by Creditfix rather than failed?
