My partner has an iva. He had it two years before moving in with me. He recently lost his job. So I now pay all the household bills. He has applied for carers allowance for my son so he can pay his iva. Will the iva still want all my details as he no longer contributes to the household. I have 3 kids an we just had a baby together. An really don't want to be included in it as I have good credit an pay my own bills.
Your financial details are not so you are included in the IVA -- it is HIS IVA. They use these to calculate his fair share of household expenses when calculating his payment. If you do not provide details they will assume a 50/50 split of bills.
As long as you have no joint finances or accounts the IVA will not affect your credit rating.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
I agree with Foggy you don't have to disclose but if you don't they will assume 50:50 split.
I'm more concerned about whether your husband can afford to maintain his payments given his change of circumstances but if you are willing to continue to pay them for him or he has sufficient from any net surplus from his carers allowance then this shouldn't be a problem.
