IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.
This is good advice but I would also suggest that anyone considering an IVA should ask about IP contact. We have four IPs and do 100ish IVAs a month and if any client wants to speak with their IP then this is done. Some firms are doing thousands of IVAs with only a couple of IPs so what chance ever speaking with one of them?
There should also be questions asked about the sale of data. How do the cold calling firms know who to call unless someone is providing them with information about defaults, over indebtedness etc. This surely should be confidential and not available for sale to the highest bidder.
It is a good article I agree, I maybe missed it but it is known that is a company sells on, you've not got the choice of whom you transfer your IVA to.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
Agree with Lesley - they have you over a barrel and you won't be able to choose who you go with. Mostly, by the time you know it's been done then the transfer will have been through the courts and be done and dusted.
