Hi again guys.

I'm still at risk of losing my (rented) home, and so I need a mortgage.

I'm just over the midway hump of my IVA, and I may be in a position to make an F&F offer, so if I was to obtain a certificate of completion as a result of this, how likely would I be to get a mortgage considering the IVA would be on my credit file for a while yet?

I have access to a deposit as a gift from my parents.

Thanks in advance.
I can only spend what I have!

Hi, Ryan or Shaun may be best placed to answer this and their contact details can be found here:

Good luck if you do make a F&F offer but do take into account that it can often take a fair while to call the meeting and then for the completion certificate to be issued.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

It is very difficult to get a mortgage until six years have passed from when the IVA has commenced. However it is worth speaking to a broker as perhaps your parents could buy the property and rent it to you. You could then buy it from them later when your credit file cleared up.
