Today we received our completion certificate, 7 weeks from final payment. Huge thanks to Harrington Brooks for dealing with this so quickly. Our initial proposal was to repay 37p div and our final div was in fact 76p made up with bonuses. No PPI because we never had any! It's been a long and at times tricky 5 years but today we are soooo relieved and happy and can now rebuild our lives financially. We've just had our first holiday abroad since 2009 and it was amazing - just what the doctor ordered.

This forum has been my lifeline throughout and I would like to thank some amazing people for their help and guidance. Firstly Michael People's who has always offered brilliant advice and Kallis, Lesley, LNE and many others who have all offered words of support.

IVA's are not suitable for everyone but with the right knowledge and of course IP they can be a real solution to serious debt problems. We had debts of £126,000 and now we are officially debt free.

Thank you

Great news Footiemad and delighted that I was able to help at all. You have to stay around or even just pop in now and again as experiences like yours are really helpful for the newbies. Sometimes it seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel but you prove there is.

Glad to see you are enjoying that extra money!

I forgot to mention someone else who has been a huge help and that is, of course, Foggy. Thanks Foggy x

Wonderful news footiemad. It is a marvellous feeling like you have come out of the end of a very dark tunnel. For me one year on life is so much better. I also found this forum such a help especially as like many my debts were a big secret that I wanted to keep.It is good to be able to share your problems with people on here.
Good Luck to every one who is still on their IVA journey.
