He everyone. This site has been fantastic giving me hope and lots of advice during my IVA which completed in July. I was with DFD and my IVA lasted 8 years. DFD were fantastic and would recommend them. I have a couple of questions for the experts regarding my current situation.
Insolvency record has been removed when I sent my CC to them.
The CRA are updating my record of the IVA completion.
Most of my debts are owned by CABOT/Capquest/ and TTI. My questions are:
Should these accounts be completely removed due to the IVA being over 6 years duration?
Do I need to contact the creditors and the 3 debt purchasers. to ask for removal of these accounts?
I want to clean up my files and are using the 30 day free credit expert etc to check files.
Yes, they should be removed and you will have to contact the creditors and send a copy of your completion letter. Shouldn't take long after that.

Hi there, lovely words re the forum, so glad that along the way the forum and its wonderful posters have been able to help you and support you. Here is a couple of links that may help with the clearing up of the credit files. All the best and any other questions, you know where we are.
Congratulations. The links Lesley has provided will contain most of the information you need. Cabot might take a few attempts as they can be difficult at times!
Rather than a 30 day subscription I would suggest requesting a copy of your credit files at £2 a time, from each of the three agencies ( they often contain different records ). Also sign up to Noddle and / or Clearscore for free access, just to have a look now and then to make sure things are staying clear. It has not been unheard of for defaults to pop up again in error.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
