Anybody got any experience of getting a mobile phone contract with carphone warehouse whilst in an IVA? currently with EE and phone is dying. Czn probably stay with EE but there are better offers with carphone warehouse but I don't want to rock the boat so to speak.

You can stay with EE but perhaps you could have a chat in a Carphone Warehouse shop and explain the circumstances to see if they can help.

I had been in an IVA just over 4 years of a 7 year IVA plan and I went to car phone warehouse last year and they did a credit check and I nearly died as I forgot they did one, but it came back that a could have two mobile phone contracts to the value of £50 per month. Obviously I only needed one and the provider was EE. I got the contract for two years and got an iPhone

I changed my phone/provider twice with Carphone Warehouse while in IVA.

Give them a try. You can do it online if you don't want to go in store while they do credit check.

I have changed my contract 3 times during the time within my IVA and on all occassions passed the credit check. I think that all they check is that you are on the electrol register. That was the comment made by a customer service rep when I explained my credit was shot at.

I tried to get a contract with 3 whilst in an IVA and they said no. Daughter took one out in her name but I kept my O2 contract as well and that is still going - no problems upgrading.

Good luck, hope you get your new phone.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
