We have sent information to an a person's insolvency practitioner regarding substantial income from breeding cats . However we have heard that it is not being followed through as the person has cried harassment. Proof from adverts etc was sent. Also person is trying to sue us for mentioning that they had an iva in defense of defamation.if it is public record can you be sued for mentioning it? Should we have reported income to someone other than their practitioner? Person has also been buying expensive cats from abroad, going to shows (£500+ per show at least once a month) and going abroad on holiday all unbeknown to creditors or practitioner who was not even aware they owned cats.
I would suggest that you take this further - it is not harassment if what you are saying correct. The IVA is public record so they cannot claim defamation.
Take some legal advice.
Sharing from experiences of dealing with debt
The greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires, but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively.

Is it the IP that has told you they are not taking it further?
The debtor has a duty to co-operate with their IP and if you have handed over information that shows they are earning extra income that is not being declared then the IP needs to look into this.
I don't see how it can be harassment if the IP has been given evidence to substantiate the claims and is asking for more information to clarify it from the debtor.
Keep the pressure on the IP and if necessary make a complaint if you think they are not looking into this properly.
