My IVA was with Creditfix and they recently offered via another company (Just Lending) to pay off the IVA, and take out a loan which I did.

I had about 14months remaining.

Had my certificate today and it suggests writing to Experian and Equifax but I'm not sure what covering letter I should send with the copies. Should I do this soon or is it worth waiting? Some of the threads suggest waiting. I'm in no rush to get credit again so not bothered as such but would be nice to tidy things up.

Thanks for advice

This might also be worth a read --- it would be interesting to get a first hand account of how it went ( is going ) :-)

Yes Perinta/Just Lending the company. Think one organised whilst the other is who the loan is with. So far seems ok although they do seem a bit slack with setting up proper repayment systems which was a little concerning.

Just read the second article briefly, some of it seems a little inaccurate to me on my specific case anyway.

I am making the same monthly payment but instead of 14 payments remaining it's now 17.

I did take a little while to make my mind up on whether to go for this as had no issues making repayments on IVA. Just didn't want to be hit by a redundancy or something before end and then lose almost 4 years of repayments and being saddled with the original debt again (I assume that could have been a worse case scenario)? The article implys it adds a lot more time onto repayment? In my case it's just 3 months (I hope)

Best of luck - please keep the forum updated with this as I think other posters would be interested to know in case they are considering going down the secured loan option.
