Hi,

I'm considering an IVA but I want to study a masters by distance learning starting in Feb. I'm eligible for the new government Postgraduate Loan but am now wondering whether I'll be able to take this out whilst in an IVA as I'm not supposed to have any credit over £500.

Thanks.

Hi and welcome.

No idea on this - hopefully someone else might able to help.

The IP will normally approve these type of loans as they are only repayable when earnings hit a certain level and thus would not impact on the affordability of the IVA. However if you are credit checked the loan may be refused. Speak to your IP before you apply.
