I am due to pay my final monthly payment on my IVA beginning of next Month . That would complete 6 years. My question is I have a mortgage with NRAM (formerly Northern Rock) so my interest rate is much higher. How soon would I be able to remortgage to go to a lower rate ? My regular Bank is HSBC who are also offering the best remortgage rate would this be favourable to me as it is also my personal bank.

You will need to get your CC and come off the register first before you can tidy up your credit rating.

Although it's possible to do something beforehand, once you have your IVA completion certificate, the magical 6 years since your IVA was registered is a massive milestone. Get a copy of your credit report (I use www.noddle.co.uk which is free for life) and then a Specialist Mortgage Adviser should be able to help
Specialist Mortgage Advisers. Highly Commended at the British Mortgage Awards.

For individual, confidential mortgage advice see my details under the IVA Experts or go to http://clients.theselectpartnership.co.uk/
