Hi guys has anyone with CF had a company called Allay call them tegarding PPI? We had another letter from CF the other day with their trademark red wording and told Allay will ring us and in accordance with agreement we MUST take their call. Well they called yesterday but i couldnt take call as at work. I then got the same red worded letter instructing us that it is part of our agreement that we comply and take these calls!!! It comes across so threatening! Amyway im off work today so will take call if they ring, i just wondered if any other CF clients have had this?

Personally I would tell them to take a hike -- but I often get into trouble that way !

Yes, you have to co-operate with reasonable requests -- it would be reasonable to be asked to speak with them when it is convenient, NOT when ordered to do so!

You are also not obliged to use their company for such things ( although it is often easier and less risky to do so).

CF's written communication leaves a lot to be desired and always borders on the bullying, however, they are very good when you get them on the phone.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Hi harrysmum! long time no hear! haha!
Thats fine i just wondered if others had heard from them. I really dislike the way CF communicate and red word stuff like we are children. It appears so unnecessary and threatening. Mel never sent such unprofessional letters so always treated us as adults and with an element of respect. Oh well! Not long left now in grand scheme of things! Thank you for replying. Hope you are doing well.

've had the Letter from CF about Allay today. I'll do as they ask - I've already been told I won't see any of money if there is any, which is fair enough in my opinion. As far as I know I haven't had PPI for 15 years or more, and as long as it doesn't cost me anything they can search until the cows come home :)

Well after they tried ringing several times always while I was at work I finally managed to take the call. Nice guy went through a few queations with me about employment and sick pay at time of taking credit and said paperwork will be in post. He said about CF paying any fees. He did say any PPI they find will be paid to our arrangement but may help reduce monthly payment or our term!!! I dont believe this is actually the case but whatever! Will be interesting if they find any.

No, it will not help reduce any payments nor reduce the term, but will increase the dividend to the creditors (and the IP and line Allay's pockets). It can, however, if circumstances change in the future, give "brownie points" if you need a variation called.

We had the letter too a few days ago but still not received a call...might call them myself when its convenient for me.

Think CF need to look at rewording their letters they go a little over the top in my opinion
