I think that 'lost' is the appropriate word Jan! It's a great place to share information and experiences relating to our debt problems and important information can be gleaned at times just by reading all of the threads.

Be nice to people on the way up - you're sure to meet them on the way down !

This is really getting odder and odder about DFD and the lack of annual reports. Hopefully Declan will address this on the forum on Monday morning.

It is a bit odd isn't it?. I have always received mine wether its on time or a little late (as was the case last year) but have always got a copy of a letter sent to creditors.

Hope Declan can shed some light on this for everyone.

I didn't realise I was supposed to receive a report from DFD. I had it sometimes, but not always. I got open when I had to write to DFD as I was concerned at one stage my payments could exceed the total owed!! (Rather odd situation, but well never mind)

Thanks all for clarifying that we were supposed to receive reports.

Its not that we have never received an annual report - I think we have had 2 which was at the beginning of the IVA. I definatly know we havent received one for the last 2 years. I will have to check when i get home from work about the other 2. x

I'm not with DFD, but used to be with Wilson Phillips and ALWAYS got my report about a week after the review. Last year I didn't get any paper work, except a letter saying that my IVA had been moved to a new IP. Seems some of the bigger companies are not so hot on their admin!

Glad to see so many of you still posting on here.....in 7 months time I'll be finished, but I'm going to carry on with the forum, it's been a lifeline!

Hi All
Apologies for not responding earlier. This query has baffled me as well and I can assure you I spent a good proportion of yesterday investigating this.
In answer to the question, yes, we (DFD) do issue annual reports - it is a legal requirement that is sent to our clients, their creditors and the court and is sent every year, as close as possible to the anniversary of when the IVA was accepted.
What we dont always send out, unless asked for specifically is the outcome of the annual income and expenditure review if the monthly contribution remains the same, instead we will ring you and advise of this. If there is a change, we will write to you confirming this.

I am currently looking at ways to make this process run smoother as I think there are issues about it and this forum has proven that we need to make the process easier to follow.

Thanks

Hi Declan - thanks for looking into this. I can advise we have had absolutely no paperwork after our first review - just the phone call to confirm payments stay the same. I am hoping that I will receive our copy of the annual report soon as we have been in the IVA since Aug 08 so presume this is not just late now - however I have emailed in for it so will give Customer Services a chance to post one out :o) Thanks for looking into this for us.

Hi Til
I too will look into this because I’m baffled. It may just be a delay in issuing the reports (there was large backlogs recently), however this is no excuse for you not receiving it earlier.
I’m going to continue my investigation into this.

Thanks

Why don't you just include a sentence in the report saying that as a result of your annual review there are no changes to be made to the debtor's monthly payments. Simple to do - and covers off the need to write to the debtor separately.

Hi all,

Also with DFD (having been transferred from another company. Since DFD have held my case, I've always had to ask for a copy of the annual report, but have then received it promptly. They've been very efficient in every other respect and I can't fault the review process itself which has consistently run smoothly. Perhaps this review copy issue is an internal problem that hasn't been recognised. Hopefully Declan's enquiries will get to the bottom of it, and Melanie's advice seems a good solution (I expect an invoice for professional services is in the post Declan ;-)))

13 months to go before I'm treating myself to a new armchair - this ones seen way too much worrying!

Best wishes all,

Martin

Hi all - we've just had our annual statement in the post from DFD as per my email request and all is well apart from I am a little confused on one thing... The statement is signed in August 2009 and states that our up to date I&E has been requested but that the debtors (us) have not yet provided it. However we were not asked for our review information until the 30th of October... Almost 2 and a half months later!

I feel a little concerned that our annual report was issued to read as though we had not provided information requested - when in fact we had not yet been asked for this information.

Perhaps Declan if you are on you could advise why the reports are done in this way, prior to our review having taken place, and why it states our I&E had been requested when in fact it had not? I know these are small details when the outcome is the same but it doesn't sit right with me that my creditors are being told something that isn't true, especially when it sounds bad against us. Is this normal as perhaps the statement should read that you are about to request I&E details instead if that is the case? Thanks for your advice :o)
