Refer them to your Case manager or IP and give to the creditors Clearstart's number to call and a IVA case reference

I would also say that if someone was to call that you wouldn't be prepared to speak to them as you are in the process of applying for an IVA and therefore (as Skipper says) they need to speak to your IP.

Hi
I have received another one of these cards this morning. Saying they will be "calling" on monday between 8am and 8pm. I have sent them a letter advising I am seeking professional advise regarding an IVA. What should I do with this second card, just ignore it ?? or should I write again advising that my creditors meeting is the 27th Dec

Communication is very poor in these companies. I think the letters etc are just standard letters that go out. Just ignore them. Your meeting is next week so they must be aware by now! As for them coming round on Xmas Eve...! Give them a mince pie and send them packing! x

My sister has been getting cards through the post from " debt collectors on behalf of barclays" for the passed 2 years saying they will be calling on such and such a date but they have never turned up nor replied to the letters she has sent them. Some of these companies just use scare letters to see if you send them some money i think.

If that happened to me, I would e-mail/ring my IP and tell her what you have received, and see if they will deal with it. Then, forward the item of correspondence to your IP.

Hi Caraf - I had many dealings with RMA on the phone and via these annoying little postcards. I found the phone calls to be very, very disturbing as the callers from RMA are very aggressive and they reduced me to tears many times. There isn't really much that you can do except to tell your IP and get your IP to phone this company up and tell them officially that you are about to have your creditors meeting. Basically all they are trying to do is get money out of you, which obviously you can't do before your creditors meeting as you cannot be seen to show any favouritism.

Just try and keep your chin up until your meeting and don't let these people get to you.

I'll be thinking of you when you have your meeting. Good luck!

Liz
