Hi, was just wondering if anyone has any experience of Grant Thornton. This is the company that will deal with our IVA for us, the IP's name is Dawn Shelley. Any experiences to share on?

Hi Onlypassion
I used Grant Thornton and felt they were excellent.
The flew over twice from Belfast to meet with us, we were well advised by them to do a full and final settlement IVA which we did. However this took a while to set up the re-mortgage throughout that time they were supportive and when it looked as if we would be unable to re-mortgage came up with plan B and C. Luckily we did manage to remortgage
My original point of contact was Michael Peacock, my IP was Gareth Neill.
I can't recommend them enough

Hi we had our IVA approved yesterday and are with Grant Thornton. They have worked so very hard to get ours through for us - didn't have Shelley though we had Jim Maxwell and Nancy Woods from Belfast who are both true stars. Getting to the IVA was slow, started the process in April and was straight foward but I just think they are really busy. So my advice is if you think its dragging on then chase them up.
Good Luck

Dawn is an excellent Manager - I know her personally, and have done for about 15 years. She has worked for both creditors and IP firms in the past, and really knows her stuff, so I would not hesitate to recommend her and GT to you.

Please pass on my regards to her - it is a while since we last had a chat!

They are a good firm. Interesting that you mention the name of an individual their that has dealt with your IVA. This same individual also acts for some creditors when reviewing IVA's put forward by other firms - very interesting like a poacher turned gamekeeper!

Sorry - thought you were referring to Dawn - and Rainbow's post is from two years ago so maybe he has moved on!
