I've had a response from DFD they want our income and expenditure details to see if we have the ability to make a reduced contribution. It's making me panic now cos there isnt anything there and they still haven't mentioned anything about asking the creditors for full and final settlement. I'm just waiting for my ex to give me his details then I can send them off. I'm more worried than ever now I just dont know what to expect next. Feel like I'm about to loose everything

It's good that this was picked up, yet again as a result of Declan's intervention, but do not let this stress you out. Submit the financial statement as soon as you can, and then see what they can recommend for you. Remember this bit is only about repaying a few debts, or not if you can no longer afford to. Those kids are far more important right now, and this is where your priority has to be.

Declan - please look after this lady, and ensure that she gets the help and support she needs from DFD moving forward.

Thanks Melanie. I just get myself in such a state cos we've worked so hard and sacrificed a lot to pay the amount we've paid back. I'm trying to focus on the kids and ensure they are ok, every day just seems such a fight at the moment.

Hi downanddone,

You so right to be focusing on the children, they are whats important. Complete the I&E form and see what DFD say. I'm sure Declan is aware that proposing what you've already paid as a F&F maybe an option.

Try not to worry ( easy for me to say I know)....keep us updated and remember we're here to support you all the way xx

thanks everyone, it really helps to know I've got support on here, dont know what I'd do without it. We've both emailed our Income and Expenditure to DFD, so hopefully they will get the ball rolling with the F&F now they can see there is no disposable income left. I hope to hear from Declan soon so we can get it sorted once and for all

Thanks Declan that would really be appreciated, just to know it's being looked at as a priority is helping at the moment. We've done all we can from our side so it's just the waiting game again now.
