Hi

Our IVA completed last May! Hooray!! However we are now thinking of buying a house but are still getting defaults registered month after month from companies who bought our debts during our IVA. Is there anyway we would get a mortgage?

Hi,

You need to sort out your defaults by sending off a copy of your completion to the creditors who are doing this.

As regards a mortgage, have a word with either Shaun or Ryan (details under the expert link on the left hand side of the page) who have been a great help to posters on here.

As Kallis says you need to stop the creditors doing this - send them another copy of your CC and get them to update their records and adjust the defaults.

Ask your IP what evidence they requite to show a remortgage is not possible.

They will already know it will not be possible but will need something for their file. Some firms will just accept a screen shot of the application being denied. However I think some on here will suggest you get an answer in principal rather than making an actual application as this could damage your credit rating further.
