Hi Larry, when you say accepted for an IVA. is that in principle or have you actually had an IVA approved at a creditors meeting?

I haven't personally had experience of B&E but I'm sure they're a reputable firm. If the IVA hasn't actually been approved yet, you should get advice from a few firms just to make sure you're taking the right path for you.

Hello and welcome.

Sounds like they have agreed to look at an IVA rather than you have been accepted for one. You are not accepted until after the meeting of creditors, which is typically 6 to 8 weeks after the first initial contact.

A good place to look for opinions is www.iva.com where you can read a lot of reviews and ratings of various firms from other people.

Regards.

Don't Baines and Ernst pass it over to Blair Endersby?

Larrymac, have a look at this, as Size5 has suggested, it's a great site to read reviews.

I am with Blair Endersby, as Size 5 says they deal with IVAs, I think another branch of Baines & Ernst deals with bankruptcy (also B&E!)
I have found them excellent, very quick, caring and professional service, loads of help and advice. 10 out of 10 from me!

I have been with Blair Endersby for just over 2 years now and in hindsight would not have touched them with a bargepole as they are just a call centre full of people who have not got a clue. In the beginning were great but as soon as you start making payments and need to ask for something they do not want to know and are rude and abrasive. May I recommend Melanie Giles who is highly recommended on this forum
