I am in an IVA with a reputable IP and paying religiously into it. I have approx 5000 pounds worth of payments till the 60 months are up. The recovery company collecting the monies from IP has sent me two statements that reflect the total amount owing and not the money owing according to the IVA agreement. Is this standard or do I need to worry?

many thanks

Dan

Hello placid, i believe a lot of us are receiving these at the moment. They are just a standard statement that these companies have to send out! Nothing at all to worry about.

Dan,

Don't worry - they have to send these statements out once a year. Your debts are covered by the IVA. Just send the letters on to your IP.

Don't forget that you will always owe the full amount to the creditor until the IVA is concluded. This is why the full amount will be mentioned on the statement.

I think we all get these statements at some point but nothing to worry about as long as you are paying your agreed IVA contributions
