ok thanks for that guys and vince.... i just wondered if it was down to one IP taking a while to get they act together.... only two IPS really! god how the hell do they cope with so much workload..... no wonder things are slow .......
vixster you ever thought of writing to MR Neil as that who i am with... well who is dealing with my IVA closure etc.... wonder if its worth writing to him to see what the situation is.... i only completed my IVA on the 30th of march but want to make sure its being closed down properly as i dont want the issues some people have had on here to be fair! will go mad.
Good bit of news is we recieved a PPI payment this weekend that should see us through a F&F offer, but I expect that we will have to wait as many months to see what we will actually be paying off.
Its really frustrating that the office is only open 9-5 when we are ll at work , im not able to take calls or make them at work and dont get a lunch hour to do this either.
We are also with Mr Neill but always deal with different people
I'm sorry to hear so many of you having problems. Karol is successfully plugging away at the backlog but it will take time to clear. I can't say to be patient without being a total hypocrite so I won't!! Perhaps you could email Karol and put IVA Forum in the title...this helps us jump up the list a little I think [:)].
I sent an email addressed to Karol or Claire on 30th April but as yet have had no sign of an answer.
I appreciate it's only been a week, but really I would have expected an answer by now. I don;t want to have to ring a premium rate number to try to get a response which I actually want in writing!
Exactly how are we supposed to get a response from GT customer services..?
Just to say, that having resent my email with 'IVA Forum FTAO Karol or Claire' in the subject, I had a very comprehensive reply the next day. Having moaned (me that is) about no response, it's only right to sing praises.
Thanks, Claire, for coming back to me so quickly. Very much appreciated.[:)]
I'm with GT too and next month is my last payment.
I emailed the review team as well as the customer services and the review team emailed me back within three days but nothing from the customer services. I asked them to confirm the end of my 6year iva and I was told it could take up to 6 months for my completion certificate.
Why does this certificate take so long?
As far as I know I am not required to do any during this process
IVA commenced April 2009 and completion certificate issued on the 25th August 2015..
The completion process does not take this long with most firms, however GT take the 6 month period as minimum. I am guessing that many firms get the march on the process by being proactive and anticipating the end as it draws near. However GT heal with various aspects of an IVA using autonomous departments who do not appear to communicate. Hence, when a file arrives in "closures" it is the first they know of it and have to start from scratch (again) !
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
This is so unfair. 6 years is a long time on an iva and to wait 6 months more to get that final document is stressful. But on the plus side my payments are coming to an end.
I'm going to contact them frequently to see if I can get it sooner
