My question is We want a bit more money coming in but i can't do any extra overtime has the IVA will take most of that
so would my Wife be able to work an extra day a week so that we would have a bit more cash to live on

and would this effected my first year review that is coming up i September ? i.e. would my IVA payments go up

Once agin This is My IVA only Not a joint one

Hi. Her earning more means she might be deemed to be accountable for a little more of the household expenses, reducing your share of them and increasing your payment a little -- but not all IPs bother with this as the changes are usually insignificant. BTW -- if you earn overtime, only (only ! :-) ) half should go to the IVA and, on top of that you might get the 10% disregard too.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Hi

We had the 10% extra so kept more than handed over.
Stepchange were always good at reviews with increasing allowances so also kept more than 50% of pay rises.
I'm lucky enough to get bonuses so any increases in income after the start make life much easier.
The Stepchange priority seemed to be achieving the payback sum agreed.

Regards
IVA completed with StepChange.

Check your terms as you usually get to keep income up to 10% extra of your standard net income.

If you go over the difference is then split 50:50 between you and the IVA.

Your wife has no obligation to your IP and does not have to provide her earnings. The IP can only request your wage slips at review time.
