Hi. I am not an expert but my understanding is that it comes off 3 months after receiving you completion certificate. My IP has informed me that they will notify the insolvency register now my IVA is complete and I should receive my CC next week so hopefully I'll come off around the 4th August. I hope that helps
It can take up to three months - have you had your completion letter yet? It won't come off until that is issued and your IP will send a copy to the Insolvency Service.

What do you mean by "finished" ? Was this your last payment ? If so, you need to wait for the completion certificate, which will take up to 6 months ( but usually faster). When the IP issues this he informs the Insolvency Service and they will remove you from the register within 3 months.
As Foggy says the key is whether you have really completed your IVA or have finished your payments. Once you have your CC you should drop off the register within 3 months.
