Hi Guys

Following my last post I contacted CF towards the end of January this year to discuss completing our IVA early and was lucky enough to be dealing with a very helpful person via email. I officially made an offer of £2400 on the 3rd of Feb which was accepted at a meeting of creditors on the 3rd of Mar! I thought then I was in for the long wait! but no!
Today 31st of Mar My partner and I received our certificates of completion :-)

Thank you to everyone who took the time to reply to my questions and all the other posts on the forum which are full of useful information.

Best of luck for a debt free future.

You might find this quick video I made about cleaning up your credit record useful:

Noddle and Clearscore are also free credit agencies to consider using:

Thanks guy

Lisa, I happened to see your links in another post so that was one of the first things I done when the coc arrived. I imagine you know however just in case you don't, I also found https://clubs.moneysavingexpert.com/creditclub/ so you can also get your experian report for free.

All three of my reports are obviously very low and I don't imagine that will change much until the 6 year mark in August 2018.

I have one question to ask. I assume at the start of the IVA some sort of restriction was put on our house is that correct? If so the letter which came with the coc doesn't mention anything being lifted/removed in relation to our house. Is this something I should be checking up on?

Hi Mark,

The free reports are all well and good, but, if something is amiss or you want to make sure it isn't the statutory reports are the ones that will hold up in any arguement (£2 a pop). In my case I "worked off " the web based reports, Noddle, Clearscore etc., and when I thought all was in order, ran a statutory report just go make sure as well as have an admissible base line in case of problems going forward.

An RX1 restriction should have been placed on your deeds -- this is lifted by an RX4. The IP should have sent this the Land Registry when he sent your certificate --- but I find it is always prudent to check with them that this has been done. This will act as a reminder in case it hasn't ! Then check deeds at Land Registry online about 6 weeks later for a small fee.
