Hi

My husband and I have an IVA, but I he's wanting to apply as School Governor at my local primary school. However, two of the conditions of appointment on the

You are not subject to a disqualification order or disqualification undertaking under the company directors disqualification act 1986 or to an order made under section 429 (2) (b) of the Insolvency Act 1986;

Would this prevent him from being appointed. Don't want to sign the forms and then have the embarrassment of him being rejected!!

None of these barriers will be affected by your IVA smiler - so hopefully your hubby will be able to successfully take up this very rewarding position.

Thanks for the info Melanie ... Much appreciated .. He wasn't worried but I was and wanted to avoid any embarrassing phone calls
