thanks to everyone that was commenting last week it really helped, I have looked through the 3 CR's and on the one I have found in the NOC section it says " IVA dated ..... was removed from the insolvency service records on ...., now i am guessing it this that has lead to me being refused a debit card ??????

Glad you've found something and the forum helped. I don't know much about cleaning up Credit references but do know lots of our posters do and will be along very soon with some excellent advice. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

You could well be right Lee, write to the CRA and demand that the Notice of Correction is removed.

So how long will that stay on the NOC part of your credit file then? is this something that will drop off after 6 years or is it just applied to the NOC part and stays on there indefinitely which would be very unfair!

The NOC is put on in a vain attempt to be helpful, by indicating that the IVA still showing on the file is no longer open. Good idea is (IF) they remoived that on or before the day the IVA actually disappears.

If they are not asked to remove it, it will stay there indefinitely.

iem, on the 6th anniversary of the IVA, or maximum of 28 days after, all detrimental entries MUST be removed. This is law. Foggy is correct insofar as any Notice of Correction is designed to help the client following a dispute. It usually does but sometimes Lee they (NoCs) find themselves elsewhere. Do as Foggy says and demand they remove it within 28 days. I am getting experienced in CRAs, being in the process of clearing my own. But some of the things they get up to would make your hair stand on end.
