Up in Manchester for the first Frugal Friend’s Club meeting, it was family matters that were in the spotlight. With forum regular John (AKA Ordinary World) , his partner Jane and a few glasses of wine, we discussed how

hard it can be to talk to family and friends about a serious debt problem, and also about how children can be affected by a sudden tightening of the household budget.

		Amongst the other things we discussed, we also found time to talk about the difficulties of dealing with creditors at work and home. John and Jane are about to propose an IVA, and I wish them the best of luck. It was a very enjoyable evening, and I look forward to meeting more forum regulars around the UK in the months to come.
