22 July 2009 Dispute against Synergi: "We made 6 payments at their request BEFORE the IVA was arranged, the IVA was supposedly arranged in August and the 6 payments were to cover the 1st 6 months. Since then we have heard nothing despite numerous letters and phone calls. There is no record of our IVA ao it obviously was not arranged at all. We have complained to the Fiancial Ombudsman who are following up our case. As a result of this situation my husband has been made bankrupt which luckiy has not involved us losing our house (we have always kept up with the mortgage and there is not a lot of equity in our house). There are still outstanding debts in my name so I don't know what my next step should be. I would be grateful for any advice." More information	Action We have discussed this matter with Synergi, and are happy that a genuine IVA was entered into with their client which was subsequently accepted by creditors. For some unknown reason, their client appears to have stopped paying monthly contributions, and therefore the IVA failed on grounds of non-payment. Synergi tell us that they have made various offers to resurrect a new IVA for their client, but have been unable to contact them. IVA.co.uk are satisfied with this response, but have not been able to get hold of the individual for further comment.
