Hi all after the next payment we'll be a 1/10 of the way there. I have to admit I cant believe how fast it is going. Can't say its been easy, learning the ropes from scratch and learning to say no again, but having money left over at the end of the month be it pence some months and it being ours is fantastic.[:)] Even managed to save for a holiday too later on out of season too.[8D] The whole experience has brought us closer together even more as a family and made us appreciate what we have and in each other. Wish our pride hadn't got in the way and admitted our problems sooner, but at least we're on the right road now and counting down to that debt free party in 2015!!!! ( will have to think of an excuse to have party as no-one knows of our secret)[?]

Not been easy had major cut backs etc but hopefully will be soooo worth it. 67 sleeps and counting as the boys say lol. Enjoying life more since the IVA.

Oh I agree and even though some months the money can be extra tight due to some unplanned event etc The feeling that you've got through it and all bills etc have been payed for is just immense. We hardly see our postman nowadays its great!!! I actually enjoy checking the bank accounts daily to see if the bills have come out and seeing our nest egg grow, even if it is on the small side. Its something we've never had for as long as I can remember. We were always in the red!!!

Struzzo, I hope you have a fantastic time.

I do agree about some months being tighter. I actually look forward to the beginning of the year when the water rates and council tax don't have to be paid!

We are lucky as we live in a tied cotage and dont have to pay council tax, water rates or rent, but then this was taken into account when the IVA was worked out so no better of just dont have to think about those bills.

It's good to cheer these little milestones as going from one to another really does make you feel like the end is getting near.....
