I am in the procedure of taking out an IVA. I am concerned that if it is reused by my creditors, that I my be liable to bankruptcy. Also, my bank statements show a level of gambling, due to my desperation. any ideas!!

Hiya Murph and welcome. The forums a bit quiet tonight as there's a meeting happening. Could you post a bit more info, how much debt, disposable income, do you have any assets, would bankruptcy effect your employment. This info will help others advise you better.
It's nice to be back......

In addition to Chris's questions, can I assume you have now given it up?

If so, how long since you last gambled?

i also am going through process of IVA and was completely honest about level of gambling in my personal statement. have not gambled at all since last november as since i found this site i am putting my trust in the IVA process instead of the odds at the spin of a wheel. My IP needed to be assured that i have given this 'method of money making' up, and i feel alot better. [:D]

I do not have a problem in dealing with people with gambling debts, so long as they are honest about their background and are committed to kicking the habit.

I share Melanie's view that it entirely depends upon a commitment to give it up. So long as that commitment is there I don't have a problem with it.
