Those teletext deals often look appealing for the price but when you ring the actual operator and they add the transfers, supplements etc.it normally turns out to be the same price as one of the major operators like first choice!!!
Lovely to hear that you've managing to get a break in. I can imagine how excited your kids are, as mine would be too. We've mainly had camping trips in France, albiet in a mobile home not a tent, and we've always enjoyed every minute.
I love camping but my lightweight hubby just can't bear it. Misery. [:D]
Ray, I have used TT before, and I agree with what you saying about the extras. They try it on too...adding stuff like 'book your seats together for £5'.
But I know TT are very cheap, even after the transfers etc.
We're sticking to the UK for a couple of years (apartment obviously!) and then hopefully going to Florida as I fancy a couple of weeks on the Gulf Coast.
I'm going on a cheapy holiday in 2 weeks. Staying at a relative's little holiday home on the coast and getting a lift down there so don't have to pay anything. A bit different from holidays I used to pay for when I was with my husband - California, Amalfi coast, Paris - but stress free moneywise I guess. And I don't have lingering resentments that he's contributing nothing! *fumes silently*
Really really looking forward to it actually. Might even treat myself to fish and chips on the beach one night!
(Btw, totally agree with Teletext holidays and similar. Sounds cheap but then you call up it's including a flight that leaves at 3am from an airport 100 miles away so they sell you more conveinient ones for £200!)
Ive just dug out my TT holiday receipt from last year. I paid in total £107 for a week in Olu Deniz, Turkey. 3* hotel, including transfers. The flights were during the night though, but thats is not bad.

We did Egypt last year courtesy of daughter, fully inclusive and checked out the price on the net before getting the same deal from our local agent.
Nowhere this year, but hopefully will be able to do something next year.

Everyone has to pray for good weather in Eastbourne next week! I want to go in the sea
sorry to but in here on someone elses topic but I have an urgent question, I am a member on equifax just to watch my credit report this morning ive had 4 alerts am I ok to carry out as many searches as I want because the last one I pulled off was 19.7.10 just a bit worried if the searches go against me, cheers Phil
I agree with Skip that you should start another thread on this.
As far as I am aware you can carry out as many searches as you want. Should not make any difference if you do it yourself.

Hope you have a wonderful holiday! Our boys (and us!) love nothing more than caravaning in the New Forest. I agree, I'm determined that they won't miss out because of our mistakes. When all this is over and done with, we want to take them to Florida - they should be just the right age aswell! It's whats keeping me going at the moment.
I love the £9.50 sun hols too!
