After the shenanigans with HMRC - they still haven't come back to me. I spoke to Financial Wellness Group. The figure that HMRC gave them was lower than HMRC were telling me on the phone but agreed didn't seem right. FWG were saying that the debt was £3060 but I'd have to pay possibly £4000 to cover their fees but the woman I spoke to said she would see if she could get that reduced. She came back saying that they would knock off all the fees and that if I paid the £3060 then she would ensure that I got the completion certificate as soon as possible.

Paid the balance on the 3rd Feb. Completion certificate arrived in the post today - 12th Feb. I'd say that's pretty good service from them.

So that's me done. Finished. Behind me. A long 5 years. At the start I was predicted to pay 47p in the £. Ended up 100p in the £. £69k in debts paid plus about £15k in fees.

I've ranted and vented my spleen LOTS in here and always been treated with dignity. I'm gonna miss you guys 😭
