Hi
I have 15 months left on my iva which I pay £150 a month. I have been battling cancer for past 12 months. I have received pip due to my mental state and have got some back pay left. I would like to offer £1800 in full and final payment. I not able to work and could be sometime before I can go back to work if ever due to side effects I have been left with from chemotherapy do you think this would be acceptable

Did you declare the PIP award and back pay to your IP ? It might hsve been due to be paid into the IVA as extra income ! Your IP will question the source of the funds.

Does your IP know about the cancer and the chemo ?

There might be scope to ask for the IVA to be finished based on payments made to date in view of the circumstances. Hopefully you have one of the more sympathetic providers and a frank discussion might be in order.

That all said -- to answer your actual question: As long as the IP is happy about the source of the funds £1800 should do the trick, especially in the circumstances you describe.

Best of luck with the offer and with the ongoing chemo.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
