Hi Folks,

I've been looking for an answer on this, with no avail.

My IVA is in a mess. Not money, strangely. I've (according to my IVA company, Freeman Jones) that i've paid my 60 monthly payments, (Because i skipped a few, due to car service/maintenance issues, which i supplied documentation for.)

The payments should now have ended, and money's still being taken. Not sure what for now. I've phoned them on a few occassions to clarify my position, and it should be paid, and everything just seems....up in the air entirely - I want to celebrate it ending - without any concrete evidence to back it up at all.

This has some history...Cahnge of IP (without any knowledge until ages afterwards) and not asked for wage slips for 18 months after a review. (although i stress this is now corrected - and up to date.)

Any suggestions on this - mostly on is it a waiting game for additional monies to be calcuated and a Certificate issued; or something else?

Thanks, despite a ramble,
Rich

Thanks for a response.

I've been in the IVA for (1st of the month just gone) 63 months. FJ told me i had two extra payments to make (as a had these holiday payments) and nothing still seems forthcoming. Which would have meant the final payment going on the 1st June, but i've had very little correspondance since.

Do you think they are preparing a certificate?

Are you paying by standing order or direct debit?

If it's by standing order, you need to cancel it, if it's by direct debit, it's up to them to stop taking it, or at least tell you why they're still doing so!

With a standing order, the money will keep leaving your account until it's cancelled by the account holder.

Not sure why you cant get a simple answer to a simple question from FJ. You have either made the payments as agreed or you have not, there is no grey area here. Contact your IP directly to find out what is going on.

Have you spoken to your IP directly or a caseworker, it may be worth ensuring you speak to your IP and get a breakdown of all monies paid and confirmation in writing if anything is owed. Hope it concludes for you soon. x

Hi,
Sorry - been celebrating my birthday and all, so not keep up to date with this.

Note to Dw - Freeman Jones are okay, wouldn't slag them off at all. Been reliable over the 5 years. My situation is that my IP changed about 3.5 years in - and my paperwork got lost somehow...so I was told by some peopel there id paid 56 payments....another 58...another 61...and ANOTHER said i had £50 pounds left to pay and now they've taken £355...so it's in a total muddle.

Before this, it was quite good, never needed to phone them up, ever. But the last year with the slow Reviews, has been problematic since January this year (6 months to the end). I'm trying to get it sorted this week coming...But they are decent overall, so stick with them, and good luck with your IVA :)
