We made our final payment on our 7 year IVA in July 2020, we have had several IP's including, Grant Thornton, Aperture, now it's with Jarvis who have recently renamed to Debt Movement. We are now calling on an almost daily basis to try and get our completion certificate and are being given the totally run around, we've had every excuse in the book the latest being that its and IT issue, yet we are still none the wiser as to when they will issue our cert. We are in a high interest mortgage that we are desperate to get out of, is there any advice on what we should do next?
You can threaten to make a complaint about them. You should have had your completion done by now - it's not acceptable.
Have you checked your emails and spam folders to see if it is in there? Check the Insolvency Register as well to see if you are still on there.

6 months is the standard time scale in which to issue the certificate written into the standard terms .... this can be extended twice, by prior notice, by 3 months and 6 months. It sounds like they have not given you notice of these extensions and this is grounds for a complaint, which can be escalated to their regulatory body if needs be.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
Thanks for your reply, I checked the register today, we are still active, this week I lodged a complaint with the IP and their complaints timescale is 4-8 weeks, it’s beyond frustrating.
We’ve had no communication regarding an extension, I suspect we fell through the crack being passed from one IP to another, which is no conciliation to us, but we are getting varying excuses, it’s a new one every week. What are the reasons to extend completion? We started our IVA in April 2013, 8 years ago!
There shouldn't be any - keep pestering and also keep lodging a complaint.
