Hi , im currently in my first year of my IVA and my landlord has now sold the flat I am living in , I am trying to move but nobody wants to know me due to this IVA I have set up, I really should have researched every detail of the IVA before setting it up , so appreciate that its partly my fault , but do you have any advice as to how I not become homeless?

Have you tried private landlords? A lot of them don't do credit checks or you could try to see if anyone will act as guarantor for you?

Many have managed a new rental using the suggestions given by Kallis: Private landlord, guarantor and / or increased deposit or rent in advance. Your local authority should have a list of decent private landlords.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Thank you for your replies , however I didn't mention that I had been trying private landlords and my sister is a guarantor. The won't touch me still, obviously having an iva in the first place means I can't pay 3-6 months upfront.
I'm really at a loss, I will they my local council for reasonable landlords list though.

Thank you.

Have you tried your local housing associations?
