Hi,

I completed an IVA in November 2019 (After only having it for 5 months but that is another story)

I am now wanting to buy a house with my partner.

Is this even possible? If it is possible am I look at the likes of 30% deposits+?
Can I use help to buy?
Is shared ownership a possibility?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The IVA is going to sit on your credit files for the next 5 years, regardless of early closure. This will make it harder, and more expensive, though not impossible to get a mortgage.

You need to speak to a whole of market broker with experience in adverse credit, such as Ryam, from Zebra Money, or Shaun from the Select Group. Both of them post here and both have assisted many forum members to obtain lending.

Their details can be gleaned from their profile pages here:

Shaun: memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=22837
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
