I had an IVA with Harrington Brooks, now Freeman Jones. My last payment was July 2017. after this it should take up to 6 months to release my house and send a certificate to say that I have completed my contract. I still have not received the certificate nor have they released my home. I have contacted them multiple times by phone and sent complaint letters. Each time they assure me they will look into the issue but I never receive any more correspondence until I pester them again. It's greatly affecting my life and finances having my home still tied up in Freeman Jones well over a year after it should all have been done with. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I don't really know where to go from here. Thank you.

I’m the same Joanne I finished in June 2018 but due to cock ups I had to pay more and made my last payment in November. I’m still waiting apparently there is a back log I was told and they have up to 6 months but yours is ridiculous just keep e mailing every few days and they answer eventually

You need to make a complaint initially to your IP because this length of time is ridiulous.

Thank you for your reply! We've complained, endlessly. By phone and letter. I've even called today and got the same, "We'll fast tack this issue and send a letter," stuff they always say.

That's awful. I believe someone from Freeman Jones (Ian) does come on the forum and get involved with this type of issue so hopefully he is in touch shortly.

Thank you Joanne63 and Sally1966 for the posts. My name is Ian and I am part of the team here at Freeman Jones.

When Harrington Brooks went into administration last year and we took over their customers, we also inherited a large backlog of closures. We have been working as fast as we can to clear the backlog and get up to date. I am sorry that you've been caught in this.

Please do contact me via ian.williams at freemanjones.com and I will do what I can resolve these issues for you. We absolutely know that once you've made your final payment, getting your Completion Certificate so you can put the whole thing behind you and move on can't come soon enough!

Please do get in touch.

Thank you,

Ian
