Hi,

I need to pay an extra £100 into my IVA this month due to 50/50 overtime payments, I normally pay it within 14days of getting paid but we had a family emergency.....My Dad collapsed at work and diagnoised with a heart block and has had to have a pacemaker, he is fine now, but I have had to use the extra £100 to cover extra petrol expenses, car parking and road toll fee's. He was in hospital for a week, the hospital is a 50 mile round trip, with a £2.50 car parking fee and £2.80 road tunnel fee each day hence £ amounted up!! Do you think my ip will allow me not to pay this month if I explain the circumstances??

I have had a letter from them today asking for my wage slips this month!

You will need to tell the IP and arrange for the money to be paid later. However, not paying the overtime can cause a breach so it would be better to miss or reduce your normal payment rather than the overtime. I realise it is the same amount of money but you can miss three monthly payments before it normally is a breach.

Speak to the IP and I am sure something can be sorted out.

Hi
I think given the circunstances that your IP can waive the extra payment.
Write to them outlining the circumstances

I'd waive it if I were acting for you - you seem to have good justification for this so long as this also absorbed your share of the overtime.
