Hi I completed my iva in 2015 and during the iva grant Thornton used a company to look for ppi and I received no renumeration of statutory interest but after the iva completed slater Hayward law looked for ppi again and on this occasion I received some statutory interest but after the SHL fee and GT fees were taken off. After the green Wright ruling Aperture GT wrote to me to say if I claimed ppi refunds by whatever source I could have the statutory interest. I am obliged to use first dispute or can I do the reclaim myself and pay aperture everything apart from the statutory interest less tax? Thanks

Aperture take the position that they must be satisfied that all poetntial refunds have been collected in -- they might accept your efforts, but, I suspect, they will still want to investigate themselves. Whether they can force the issue is, so far, unknown.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
