I have received both an email and a text now from Aperture's IVA Trust Team stating that there is a balance on our account that we are now entitled to receive - our original IVA was with DFD. Is this genuine? I have tried phoning Aperture but they are only taking COVID-19 phone calls, I have also tried emailing their customer service team with no reply. Has anyone else heard of this and was it genuine? Many Thanks
I personally have not heard of this, hopefully others will be able to answer.

Aperture did take over DFD in Autumn 2017, so will be dealing with their ongoing cases as well as the legacy cases. I have heard of a couple of old DFD customers getting these messages, but do not know if they turned out to be genuine or not. I would hold fire until such time as Aperture deign to respond directly from a source you know to be genuine.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

If the email came from ivatrusts@aperture.uk.com it's likely genuine, but for 100% validation you speak to Aperture. Aperture will have limited access to your case, but should at least be able to tell you if the Trust's team has contacted you.

Thanks yes it did come from IVATrusts@aperture.uk.com they have now replied with another email quoting our original DFD ref number. I will continue to try and contact by phone though before giving out any details. Thanks for all your advice.
