Hi
Back in May 2020 I received an email from Aperture stating that our IVA had successfully completed. Great news! It also said we would be getting final documentation and completion certificate within a few weeks. Of course, now to be soon to be approaching 12 months hence we have received nothing.
During this time I have tried both phoning and emailing and have been unable to make contact with anyone. Obviously these have been unprecedented times, so I have made the assumption that this is the reason why. I haven't worried about it too much, just been relieved it's finally over. However, there have been a couple of little things that have made us think we're not clear of this yet. The last one being we had a savings account that had a very small amount of money in that we continued to receive statements for. We thought we would start using it again but when we tried to put some money in we were told we couldn't due to an IVA.
I tried again to contact aperture but found out they are no longer in business and was redirected to Jarvis who in turn was now Direct Movement UK.
When I spoke to them they had no record of our IVA. They said they would look into it but as our IVA completed in May and the take over happened in September I think, I'm worried we may have disappeared in the transition. How does this leave us?
Aperture have a trust department who are dealing with legacy IVA's (those that were completed and not handed over to Jarvis). Their email address is ivatrusts@aperture.uk.com
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
