Been in an Iva for a few months but now have started getting attendance allowance. Told stepchange and they want a full list of how much of the money is needed and what it will be used for
What kind of things will they be OK with ? Are any of these OK?
I need new flooring as I have tripped on it and had a few falls
More petrol as more hospital appointments
More sky so can have TV in bedroom as I will have to have a lot of bed rest
Special footware
Dressings for sores
Days out so when I can go out I have a way to pay for it
Adult care needs
Not had the money before so no idea what to put

I would ditch the Sky TV and new flooring in your report to your IP. Extra fuel, footwear, dressings hospital visits etc can all be used to justify the amount you are getting as the full income in attendance allowance, leaving a zero balance.
Last Payment made 04/12/14. Completion Certificate 25/7/15. IVA company GT. No Issues

Some firms don't even ask for an itemised breakdown, but simly offset the Attendance Allowance figure with the same under "Expenses related to [condition]", which is what the alowance has been made for, NOT for repaying creditors.

Don't forget to account for any specific dietary needs, all the gubbins that go with regular dressing changes ( gloves, antiseptic, bowls, sterile gauzes, micropore plaster), if you are going to be bed-bound for any time, hire of commode.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
